ANIMAL CRUELTY AND FREE SPEECH (NEW) New york times

All 50 states have laws against animal abuse but nowadays in all countries there is animal abuse. It's a pity that animal cruelty even exists.
Often on the TV there is news about torture of animals.

In my view the laws against this type of things should be more strict because only giving fines and sending them to prision isn't enough. Somebody should change the law. I would punish these people torturing them, because then, they would know what is animal abuse.
I don't understand how there are people who enjoy watching animals being tortured and killed. I know about a family who live in Fortia, actually on my street and they sometimes prepared cockerel to fight or dogs to fight. They don't give food to their animals and moreover the animals are tied up.
Somebody should lock them up.
How you can see I am totally against animal abuse. If you think it is funny, you have to know there are other things to do without killing dogs, for example, If you like causing harm then go and bang your own head against a wall.

CON FALDAS Y A LO LOCO (FILM)

This film is a very old one and I have seen it twice. The first time I watched it was three years ago and today I have seen it again because I love it.

The plot is:

Two musicians without jobs are witnesses to a gangster's killing. So the gang leader orders the gang to find the musicians and make them dissapear.

When the musicians are running away they have an idea, they dress up in women's clothes and they join a female orchestra that is travelling to Florida. Josephine and Daphne, "the new girls" turn their attention to Sugar Kane (Marilyn Monroe), the most beatiful girl. Quickly they become friends even if Sugar doesn't know the identity of her new friends.

When they arrive in Miami, Joe tries to make Sugar fall in love with him and to do it, "she" dresses up as a milionaire.

On the other hand Jerry has to support Osgood, a milionaire who has fallen in love with Daphne (Jery). The problems increase when gangsters arrive.

For me the best are the characters and their dialogs because it is so funny. They imitate girls perfectly. For example, I think the best part is when Osgood asks Daphne if she wants to get married to him and Jery (Daphne) doesn't know what to say to him and starts to invent excuses. Finally she tells him she is a man and Osgood answers him: It doesn't matter, nobody is perfect.

What's more, the costumes are also so good for the time. I don't know what to say about what I don't like because it is one of my favourite films.

The films end is fantastic. The "girls" manage to escape from the gangsters and both fall in love with somebody.

I really recommend it because you will enjoy it.

It's a masterpiece!

HUMAN RIGHTS

Human rights are basic rights and freedoms to which all humans are entitled.
They are international norms that help to protect all of the people everywhere from severe political, legal, and social abuses. The human rights started in 1948.
They were created because everyone could have a decent life and be respected and respect everyone. There are thirty human rights.

I wasn’t familiar with this human right: Everyone has the right to leave whatever country and go back to this. I knew that it wasn’t prohibited but I didn’t know that it is part of thirty human rights.

Fisrt of all, I have tryed this human right because there are a lot of people who doesn't respect it and doesn't comply with it, so I think I can discuss about it.

I'm going to start talking about the different social classes that exist. Since you are born you have a better or worse life depending on your luck. For example, if you are born within a poor family, surely you will go on without money because your parents haven't got money to pay for your studies, so you won't have the chance of a good job and you won't earn a lot of money. "Is like the fish that bites its tail". So, for you to have a life full of dignity, partly depends on where and with who you are born. I mean, if you life with a poor family maybe you will have to live with very little resources.

Anyhow, this Human right is good on its contents but when everybody has to respect it, few people do it. When people are racist, they are not complying this Human right with. There are many people who don't have conscience because when they insult or refuse others they don't bother about their feelings, so there are people who keeps without this right because of the others.

Whoever is against the others is who has a mental problem or are who don't feel good within oneselves.

In the world there are many people who don't comply with this right. We have to start thinking about this problem because in this way, when people don't comply with it, we don't have the Human right and don't imporve social life.

Finally, with the final part of such human right, also is because I think the majority of the people don't respect the opinion of others.

Concluding it, hardly anybody does what they should.

In my country generaly it isn't respected. Every day in the news appear somebody who attaks or abuses someone verbaly because he or she doesn't think the same than the other or because she or he wants it. Besides, in all the world there is social and economic inequality because there are the rich ones, the poor ones and those that is better than they commit suicide. It is very difficult to change because the government are who want to have all the money and the power. So if it is the one that directs the country, then they aren't interested that the whole world has the same money because they would have the same powerful than the government. Moreover, some studies determine that the children of rich families are the most conflicting. These children know that if they make something wrong, anything happens to them because their parents pay and the problem is solved quickly.

The social inequality is the base of the terrorism.

To conluding with the Human Rights, I would like to tell all of you that today the Human rights are relevant in our world because nowadays there are people who despreciate the others or who can't be educated in the school because he or she hasn't got the possibility or the average to go to this.

After Cosmetic Surgery, the 'Do Over'

I have read the article and I have felt happy because somebody is finally talking about the reality of the plastic surgery world.

In this news two women talk about their experiences on surgeries. Both are displeased with the doctors because they didn’t warn them about the consequences or about the follow ups that women need to do every year or in some cases monthly. Moreover one of them had to have surgery more than once to obtain good results.

In my opinion all these people who work in these types of jobs haven’t got a heart because they only think about money and they don’t mind the ordeal of other people.
The problem is that nobody can record the complications because nobody has access to the information of the plastic surgery to show the reality of all that.

Furthermore I am angry because a lot of times there are people who really need plastic surgery because she or he had an accident and surgeons say: oh sorry you have to wait because there is a waiting list. It is incredible because they haven’t got feelings.

For a better future we could make a review of all these companies or private clinics to make sure our mental and physical health are safe. We have to be careful about all that not to waste money on those unmoral doctors so we get a good result minimally guaranteed and we don’t have to go back to the clinic because we are not satisfied with what they did.

Some surgeons say that if you give up to this type of surgeries, they can’t assure you that you will be completely satisfied, this is their excuse.

This must change to end up with this problem!

SELF EVALUATION ON THE ORAL PRESENTATION

Hi there!!

The other day when we had got the break time, Fran and me played a guessing game. In Catalan it is called: pedra, paper, tisora. We did it to know who would start the oral presentation's exam. The rest of the class didn't want to be first. I won the game so I started the exam with Robin.
What was the best is the images of the powerpoint because classmates laughed a lot.

Well, from my point of view my speaking wasn't like I hoped because of my nerves and also the preparation. I think if I had prepared it better I would have known it by heart, so even though I was nervous it could have been better.
From the ten per cent which the presentation represents, I believe that I will have the highest mark because I used a very nice and funny images, the resources were focused on the topic and they supoorted the oral explanation. Moreover the timing was between 5 to 10 minutes or maybe a little bit longer but not much.
As far as the body language and eye contact, they wasn't very good from my part because most of the time I was looking at Sonia and maybe I read too much. In the other hand I did some gestures to indicate some things on the powerpoint. My mark could be a 4%.
The part of the structure as the part of the content was very good I think, so I would put to myself a 9% and a 38%.
I need to improve my language as some of the people in my class said to me, because I made some grammar errors. Really I knew the best form of grammarticaly structures but I failed it because I couldn't control my nerves. The next time I will take a valerian!!!!!!!!!!
Once that has been said I also have to say that I used connectors, some fillers and a varied vocabulary, more or less. Here my mark would be a 15%.
Finally my pronunciation was comprehensible but I pronounced some words badly. My voice wasn't monotonous and more or less I spoke in a fluid continuum. (7%)

My final mark could be an 8,3.

WELCOME MAIL

Hi teacher!

I'm going to talk about my thoughts.
A week ago I met some people who had passed second of batxillerat and I asked them if it had been difficult. They told me they had been working a lot and that it was very stressful. So, I can't stop thinking about my grades, because I need a high mark to go to the University. I'm very worried because there are difficult subjects for me.

Anyway, during all my life I have dreamed about being a vet so I would like to study that.
I'm looking forward to be accepted in Barcelona but if it can't be possible, I will go to Saragossa because I prefer to study something that interests me instead of studying something different just because I could stay near my home. My dream is to finish the studies and the most important thing is that I enjoy them.

ONE OF THE WORST DAYS FOR A LONG TIME

Today has been a hard day for me because so many things have gone wrong.

First, at ten o'clock in the morning I have made an exam Earth Science. I am 90 per cent sure that I will fail because I was very nervous, so when I was reading I didn't understand anything.
Also I haven't got enough time to finish the test even though I worked during the break time.
When I went out form the class I had the feeling of anger because I studied a lot the previous day for nothing.
To finish it off straight away I had my English exam. It wasn't as bad as the other but I was fed up about tests and I didn't do very well.
At the end, nearly I creid because of the stress.

OPINION ESSAY WRITTEN IN CLASS

ARE PAPER BOOKS DEAD?

Now the technology is improving and the majority of people have computers. In the school the students are using these machines and they have stopped using paper books so they have been substituted by digital books. In my opinion paper books won't be dead because we need them.

First of all, if we only would write on the computer then we would lose our practise and we would forget how to write.

Secondly, writing is important because it is necessary for make the list when we must go to the supermarket or another things which are in our daily life.

Also people are going to become less clever because we mustn't be careful with the mistakes and with the words which are incorrect.

My conclusion is without paper books we are going to be stupids because we won't practise who write different words so, if the paper books are eliminated, later somebody will say that we have to make paper books because the society is becoming ignorans.

OPINION ABOUT "THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY"

This book is the best that I have ever read at school. The others were so boring and this has been more interesting because a lot of things happen.

First what I am going to talk about is how Henry influences Dorian and which type of person he is. Later I will tell you my opinion about Dorian Gray by concluding the entry.

Henry is the man who influences Dorian's life and he teaches him the bad ways. Fot the people who have read the book it is clear that Henry only wants his confort and for him the other persons aren't important. What he is looking for is Dorian falling in love with him as Dorian is young, beautifut and handsome so it is interesting for him. Furthermore Dorian has a lot of money because of his parent. In addition, on the other hand the story without Henry wouldn't be the same.
What's more is Henry's life is based in the importance about beauty and youth, two topics. I would say that for me beauty isn't so important because there are other things like feelings which are more significative in life because to be a good person means that you have a lot of friend so you don't need to be beautiful. As far as the youth is concerned only I would say that is better to thing to yourself you are young because then you are happier and for the others you seem young.

Well, now it is the turn to talk about Dorian. He is the main character in the story because all happens around him. He killed a lot of people because he was afraid and crazy. Leaving apart this, he is easily led by others so the only worry for him is to keep young for ever. Phsicologicaly he is wrong but with the money he has, he can do what he wants. Here appears another topic; the rich people.
I think sometimes this kind of people haven't got sentiments and often they are selfish.

To sum up I would say that this is a good book and I recomend it to the people who hasn't read it yet.

DRIVING LICENCE

First of all I have to say I haven't got it.
Do you have it???

On 19th of February I will be eighteen so I will have the age which will allow me to drive a car. At that moment I am not worried about it because I have too much to do, like my research project, exams and besides the homework.

Shurely, I am sure I won't be able to take the driving exam until next summer because of all the school work. Meantwhile, I will be happy with the practises which I am doing with my father around my home where there is some empty ground. These practises help me to learn and furthermore when I go for the exam I won't have to spend too much money because with a bit of luck I will know how to drive.


AH! I FORGOT IT! THE CAR THAT APPEAR ON MY PICTURE IS MADE BY MY FATHER.

SOMETHING I ALWAYS WANTED TO DO

When I was six year old I asked my mum to go some dancing classes but she answered me it wasn't necessary because she thought it wouldn't be any used to me.
My mother decided to enrol me in a painting school. I agread because painting was fun to me but after a few days, I saw that painting in that ceter was boring because the teacher didn't take any notice so ti was a waste of time and I didn't learn anything.
Later on I asked her again what I wanted to do, dancing, but in spite of my insistence today I am not dancing yet.
Nowadays she tells me if I want to do it, I have to pay it myself but I can't afford it. I would like to dance any type of music except ballet.

Well guys, I have been talking about it because this afternoon I have watched FAMA, a programme where young people are learning to be dancers.

I only hope that some day I will be able to achieve my objective.
I know it will be late because if you want to learn dancing you need to start
at a very early age, but if I can do it, it would be a hobby.

I will continue to dream until my dream comes true.

Good afternoon guys!

In this write up I'll talk about a serial which it's very interesting for me. It's on TV at 10 o'clock every Monday. I can recommend it to you because it represents every day life and common situations.

The programme started by showing a family's life. The family is composed by a teenager, a girl of twelve and her mum. The problem began when the mum died on a road accident. From then on the teenager called Mel had to start work to keep her sister Julia. Mel had a friend, Africa, and she helped her to be able to survive. After a few days the social worker went to visit the girls and she told them they would have to be looked after by some tutor because they couldn't be alone as they were under aged.
In the end, they thought that their tutor could be their uncle, the only person who was near to the girls and who they knew. The uncle didn't want to have the girls because the girls's mum and him hadn't spoken to each other for a long time.

The time went on and Mel started to work as a Model, like her friend. Her sister often didn't go to school and became involved with bad people like alcoholics...
She made a friend, a woman who liked drinking.
All was good, Mel felt in love with her photographer but he was forty and she was sixteen. Then the photographer didn't accept the relation ship because of the difference of age. He went to bed with an ex-model and Mel with her friend, a boy who was completly crazy about her.

More things happened, more problems until now, that the situation of the story is:
Africa has anorexia and her parents are separated.
Mel and the photographer are together.
The ex-model is trying to interfere in the photographer's life and Julia wants to see the alcoholic and her daughter together.
Finally the photographer's daughter after being depressed because she had changed cities and nobody didn't want to have anything to do with her, then she began to learn to make-up models.


Ok, this is the summary of this serial and I hope you'll start to watch it.
